Anteater, Swinging Bridges, Steaming Volcano and Hot Springs in the Rain!

Last night was a noisy evening... finally got use to the frogs and such, feel asleep to be awaking by a crash banging thunderstrom tropical downpour, don't know how this place can manage to get the water away, but it does....  Woke up, there were just sprinkles... had some brekky, watched the birds in the area and then took off for a three hour hike.  The jungle is beautiful!
We were on the lookout for monkeys, but instead were surprised by an Anteater up in the tree... I'm not talking 10 feet up, but 40 feet up... He didn't look nervous at all!  Was finding lots of food, cuz he kept at it.
The weather was perfect.... will, maybe a bit muggy and warm, but no rain.  We kept on trucking and continued to take pics... You can only imagine how many pics you can take in a place like this... but, alas, will not bore you with them all!  Did manage to get another bridge pic, so that was fun!
Hummingbirds everywhere here... One even landed and took a breather so I could get a clear pic.
We returned to our lodge, had a bit to eat and five of us went to some thermal springs near Fortuna.  Well, as we descended, the rain came back but onward our little van trekked!  Got to the Hot Springs and it was gorgeous.... Sorry, no pics, with rain and hot springs, didn't see like a good combo to have a camera there...  The link to the springs is http://ecotermalesfortuna.cr/index.php ..Hope that works.  While in the springs, thunder came back with a vengeance... no lightening so we stayed in.  Was pouring rain but the 104 degree pools made it seem like nothing!  I did manage to scrap myself up when getting out of one of the pools... My arm looks lovely!  And, if that wasn't enough, back at our lodge, I slipped with my flip flops on on the tile... Grace, my middle name!!!
Oh... on the way back, the rain was still coming down... one bridge over the creek that was just meandering early, was raging... water up over the bridge and around the sides... Driver counter ... 1, 2, 3   and off we went...
Alrighty, gonna go and see what awaits tonight...!

She's got too much eyeshadow on I think!

 And what are these animals????

White lichen... really striking in the jungle
A gentle plume from our vantage point in our room...

A tiny yellow snake... I can only see it cuz of Layne's camera lens...
