So, Two Days of Being Very Lazy!

Woke up, got out of bed, dragged a comb through my hair… how does that song go?  We went for a great walk North… about 5 miles… came back, got our swimmies on and headed for the pool.  Didn’t do much all day.  Swam, went in the ocean, laid out and swam… back to our room, chillaxed, then dinner…

Next day, we did the same thing, this time we rented a cabana… ate lunch at the pool, but never did do the ocean.  Very relaxing and not stressful… well, except for some real estate doings on the phone, signing papers electronically… but no big problems compared to some of what is going on in the world.  Had dinner at Hula Girl… kinda disappointing, wondering if it has something to do with COVID and reopening and lack of employees… still, no longer on our list of places we like to visit while in Maui.  Must say again, life is still pretty awesome here!

A quick getaway …. To…. Maui!

Life has been a bit stressful of late… selling the beach house, gathering tax info, two sisters with heavy issues… and yet, we had planned this trip months ago so we decided, with communications like they are in this day and age… we were going to go.

Airport check in a breeze… but at the gate… Oh No… we still had to fill out a “Hawaii Safe Travels” application that had our vaccination status.   I thought having the card and the app that showed it was enough… My bad for not checking it out before we left.  After about 30 minutes of stress.. filling the form out on our phones, gathering and repeating the same data, a couple times, we finally got it loaded.  We then got a special wrist band that kept us from having to go through another check-in once we got to Maui.  I only lost it a couple of times through the process… I told Jerry I would help him once I got mine figured out… in the end, an employee helped him and a note to Delta will be written noting her pleasant and calm attitude.

No pics, as this part of the adventure is pretty routine on a plane... with the exception that we still have to wear masks and have meals that are pretty lacking... but heck... we are flying safely and going to a sweet destination!

Good Bye to this special place we called our Beach House for six years... sniff sniff
