A Morning Hike in Sabino Canyon...

I think the photos will say it all.  We left a little after 8 in the morning, walked to the Canyon from Julie's and got back home about 9:30ish.  Nice comfortable morning... climbed up... and then down... temp difference was noticeable when we climbed down.  Rock formations are so unique.  God sure did a bang up job when he put the motions in motion to create this area!  Enjoy the pics...
This pic, further up the trail... getting steeper
A flower finding a little spot...

This Cactus sure was gutsy grabbing a spot there!
This dying Cactus was such a beauty to me
Down in the valley..

One of our party took a detour down the creek

Just to prove I was there!!!!

MSP... snow.... Arrive Tucson... warmth and fun times ahead!

So, we left Minneapolis...as you can see... and arrived a few hours later... in Tucson, and were greeted by the desert!  Nice...
We're staying with the Julie and Jens... that Monday night we went to a yummy dinner at Christy and Tom's... and, took no pics... But, boy oh boy, was the Pork Roast, Brussels Sprouts and Twice Baked Potatoes were  beyond yummy!  The Mandarin Martini's topped it off!
Next day we piled in the car and off we went to the Desert Sonoran Museum... Advice to others... not what it's cracked up to be... sure I got some pics... but, overall, alot of walking and looking at manually created environments, and most animals on siesta.  Add to that the fact Julie and Jens live right next to Sabino Canyon Park... which I'll show our hike in the next blog!

a sculpture... not a real bird...heehee... same with the deer above

Took a pic of me to prove I was there...
These Big Horn Goats were the only critters we could really see...

Hummingbird in her nest above... and the nest itself when she left for a bit!

The MLC Gala... Movie Night Theme...

Flew out for this great event... it raised over $200,000 for scholarships and programs for students.  You see, Special Needs Adults... and teaching them independence... isn't covered by any student loans.  A fun night that had Jerry and I coming as Audrey Hepburn and Marlon Brando!
The Chocolate Cake for Zerts was so good it was photo worthy!  The weather was sorta fluky... snowed the next day after nice temps the whole previous week!

Amy G.... the ED and super emcee!

One of the inspiring talks from two students!
