Our last day... we ventured around the East End of the Island

Our last full day here… Took H and K to see the blow hole… and did a couple geocaches on the way.   Once we got to the blow hole, we were able to get Halley down to the rocks… so that was pretty cool.  You then know the routine… Wait for it…. Wait for it…. Wait for it… and then… bam!  Darn that one was sorta a dud… so we started the waiting again!  Finally got a decent one!  Had to laugh, as soon as they walked away, I got a great one!
The geocaching took us to an old guard station… the cache was around one of the iron cannons… I love the pic of the three of them looking for, then at it… I call it the Rear Photo!  Next cache wasn’t near as exciting, but we can now say we found five caches while we visited here.
We continued on to Rum Point for lunch and more picture taking; then, back on the road.  Jerry got a business call, so we pulled off for about 20 minutes while he took care of work.  Driving on the opposite side from what we are use to PLUS being on a cell phone:  A disaster waiting to happen.  Nice though to be able to help clients no matter where he is.Our journey is coming to an end. This evening, we drove out to Morgan Harbor for dinner… The fish is literally fresh… right off the boat.  Each of us that had fish thought ours was the best.  That’s a good meal!
Tomorrow we start the trek home… Halley and Katie will be greeted in MSP with below freezing temperatures… As for Jerry, myself and the rest, I think it’s just typical, damp weather greeting us!  But, it's nice to say it will be great to be home!

Our time is almost up here!

This is the view as I make coffee in the morning.... gonna miss this....

Here's that dude on the Jet Pack again... the 20 minutes for $250 guy....

A classy lady, about 75-80... Loved her!

Another pensive moment... this time Jillian!

Getting an adult icy drink in town... Halley and Katie opted to hang out at the condo!

These sunsets here... never tire of them....

Katie and Halley just hanging around...

Dinner at "The Wharf"... with Tarpon Fish nearby... they hang out here cuz the restuarant makes a big deal about feeding this daily.  This fish is not one that folks eat... The waiter told us they were boney.. and not that good!

Halley had Crab and Steak... she said it was delicious...

Had a Hell of a Time!

So.... you knew this was coming... yes, we went to Hell today and lived to talk about it.  They even have a geocache in Hell... who'd a thunk that????
That was pretty much our big outing for the day... Had lunch on the way... that's where the pensive pictures of Katie and Halley were taken...waiting for our food to arrive!  When we finished up our meal, we left for Hell and that's the beginning of the jokes.... you know... It's a Hell of a place, Where in the Hell are we going?.... then the three gift shops there have even more Hell jokes.  The Picture of just the lady behind the counter... Well, after you search for the geocache, you look at the clue more closely, go into the store... and just ask her about it... POOF, she pulls it out... kinda weird.. kinda funny... but, we can say we found one in Hell now!
A couple sun dresses were purchased as well as a couple t-shirts.. happy shoppers!.
More big lizards here than last time we were around.  They seem to not care for you to get close, but they do sorta bake in the sun till they get a bit concern you have plans for them.  Then they take off.
Didn't eat till late tonight... I had seen a Thai place close by, so that's where we were going to go.  Got there... guess what... it is a Thai place... but it's a Thai spa... not food.  Fortunately, a good Italian Restaurant was right there in the parking lot, so we did not go hungry... or thirsty.
Tomorrow... NO PLANS... we shall see!

Stingray Sandbar and a Snorkel !

I'm a hero!!!!!  They all loved the snorkel/stingray trip !!!  Even if we had to meet the bus at 8:10 am in front of the condo.  Everyone was so glad they went!  And best yet, sufficient sunscreen so that no one got burned badly after out there for 3 hours.
We were most fortunate that we got out there when there were not any of the big boats carrying loads of cruising ship's folks.  Our boat was a catamaran... so it glided quite nicely without any roll.  But, really, there wasn't alot of roll in the water at all.  The morning had little breeze, calm seas and no clouds.  Perfect for our trip.
Took about 30 minutes to get to the area and there were only about 4 or 5 other boats... none of them huge.  And, as soon as we came up, there the rays were.  These guys are wild... BUT... they know this is a great food source, as we crazy people had food (fish) to feed them.  Getting off the boat was weird, cuz, you saw these guys near and at first, all I thought about was Steve Irvwin... The Crocodile Hunter and how he died,  Really no worry here, but it did pass through my brain... kept my mouth shut on that one...
Once in the water, you could stand easily and the fish would swim near... and then, even at times, rub against you with their soft underbelly.  Chip, our captain, showed us the barb, and it was really easy to see, that we were fine.  He did warn us, when we fed them, keep our thumbs within our fist and hold the fish up.  They don't have teeth, but they have a strong bony jaw they use to eat (grind) their food.  One time when I was feeding them, I kept my thumb hidden, but he grabbed the fish and my knuckle too... even broke a little tiny dot on my skin.... After the rays, we snorkeled... Katie and Halley passed...
Finished up and had a great meal at the Tiki Bar up from our place.  My drink... delish... everyone loved theirs too... the view, as usual... gorgeous.  Had a closer view of the Jet Pack ride... a couple people were trying it out... $250 Cayman dollars for 20 minutes... YIKES... not on our budget!  But, there must be a market for  some folks.... just not us.  Okay... I'm tired... Hope you all are having a great day... Stay warm!

Our crew:  Chip, on the right, and his Dad, Buster...

Maryanne and Katie... first ones in from our group.... and the rays greeted them!

Halley was afraid... after some coaxing from Jerry and Jillian, and handholding, they got her to relax and over to the most shallow area... the deepest it was, where we were, was about 4 feet.

Ms Katie soaking up a few rays....

That would be Jean and Jillian swimming....The Snorkel area was a short distance from the sandbar... water, crystal clear!

After a hard morning in the ocean, having fun, no seasickness, had to have a drink... mine was the Orange Mambo... couldn't taste any liquor...dangerous... Maryanne and Jillian opted for MudSlides, Jerry for a MaiTai and Katie had a strawberry smoothie, while Halley opted for her Ice Tea, no lemon...
