Our first journey into Sorrento!

What a great day!... We didn’t get up till 9 AM… after going to bet at 6 PM the evening before. Our friend, Darren, had been to Italy the week before and said how they stayed up to get on the right time zone that first night! Jer and I must be too old for that! Anyway… have felt great all day. We went for a walk through the city… a great bustling place… found a spot for lunch… and then came back home and proceeded to take this long, steep stair case and road to the port (harbor more like it, filled with tourist boats)… it was gorgeous… such steep walls on our way down; just like you feel Italy should be. After walking around down there, we took a photo of our hotel, and discovered there was a ‘lift’ to get us back up to our hotel… AWESOME! We pushed the button, they buzzed us in and then, off we went to the lift aka elevator…. So much quicker. Spent the afternoon lazing around the pool before we had dinner.
At dinner we met our fellow travelers… what a fun group of folks we will be with. There is only about 20 of us from different parts of the country (world for that matter, one from Australia, who now lives in Singapore). Had a great meet and greet wine hour and then on to a fabulous dinner. Sunsets… well, nothing like the coast here in Italia! Just a few pics to tease you with
