On to Torgiano… about twenty minutes from Perugia… Yup, THAT Perugia…

Arrived late afternoon… and were greeted by most quaint place to stay. I use the word quaint, but it’s not a tiny B and B sort of place. Nice accommodations, with gorgeous hillside views from our room. As soon as we got there we toured the town and then went up to our rooms for a bit of rest. I captured Sunset to share with you guys. It came right before a little wine tasting we did and then our dinner.
Cosi shared with us the history of the grapes in this area and the wine. We also sampled some 25 year old Balsamic…. Oh My … so delectable sweet, but earthy… hard to describe. He suggested pouring it on ice cream, with a bit a strawberries as a dessert… I was game!
We had a fabulous dinner… Zucchini Flowers stuffed with ricotta, Ravioli with Black Truffles, and I ordered the Fillet… Wine topping everything off…. And such a smooth, wonderful SanGeorgia… too, too wonderful. And then dessert!
They had a large dessert buffet, with what I would call little ‘flights’ of dessert… know what I mean… Also, some ice cream and fresh strawberries… Yup… I tried it, as did Jerry and everyone else at our table! It was beyond, beyond orgasmic…. Guess who’s buying some of the Balsamic tomorrow! Yup, that would be me!
