Medina's are quite the thing around this part of the world... They are the original walled cities that were in place before other countries came in and colonized the area. The walled old town here in Rabat centers on the Old Market with alleys of shops, etc. The Fountain Fill Bab el Had square has a huge 12th century gate.
After touring the area on foot, we got on our chariot (aka bus) and headed to Fes and then on to our hotel for the night.
Still in use today to get water....
Great Door Knocker!
And, from the top of the wall, looking down on the beach... so many people, we could hear the crowd noise even at the height and distance that we were. We asked if women go to the beach... and yes, some do... but these beaches not so much... they like the nicer, more quiet beaches up the coast. I don't blame them... the crowds were something else....
Our hotel for the next three nights... the Palais Faraj Suites and Spa in Fex
