Oh Jet Lag, Oh Jet Lag, How I Dislike You So!

Having been on such a high, getting to Spain, seeing Jerry again... egads, Jet Lag has hit, but not in making me sleepy, but, instead, I just cannot sleep!  It's 5 am here, been up most of the night, while at home, the time is 8 pm at the moment... We have a fun day planned for today, I'm just hoping I have the energy.  Wait, that's not the attitude, I will have the energy...and maybe some caffeine too!  Since I'm up, I decided to go ahead and complete an entry here for the happenings of the first full day.
We  spent time in the Square as Jerry was hoping to see some of his friends he made come in... And he did. There had been rain in the area during the morning hours, but here in the late hours, it had stopped.  The Camino walkers coming in still had their ponchos on, rain protectors on their backpacks... oh, and SMILES on their faces.  Jerry commented he felt so fortunate during his time on the Camino, the weather was mostly great!  Only one day with heavy rain.

And here they come...

This is the portal they walk through to enter into the square.

I think this photo really captured how many of the Pilgrims felt once they arrived and saw the cathedral and the square... Exhausted, but happy!

Picture on the left is the police department... picture on the right, was the view from the edge of the square which overlooked said Police Building!

This building is opposite the cathedral and now houses government offices.
This beautiful long hallway is the front of the above bulding on the ground level !  They are always so striking.

This Dandelion was halfway up the stone wall... they are a hardy little flower!

Found our first geocache in Spain!

This is where we had dinner our first night... there was a small little park-square... some beautiful flowers glistening cuz of the earlier rain!

Here's a University... was beautiful..

These photos were exquisite! Very large and so real!  All in the University's courtyard for us to see!

 Hydrangea's are gorgeous, world around!
