Girls were up and ready for breakfast. We met them at the Tropicana (no not that
one!) and were all seated, when Darren shows up with Lattes in hand for Jer and
I. He had gone to our room to deliver
them, but alas, we were down here! What
a nice guy!
Anyway, we ate, while Halley had a big discussion on if the toast was
6,9,or 12 grain. She was pretty sure it
was 9 grain… Welcome to our world!
Left the hotel about 11:30 for lunch and an explore: Halona
Blow Hole was first (handicap friendly).
Next we headed to the Makapu’u Light House, which had a nice paved path that
would allow Halley’s scooter up to the top.
Little did I pay attention to the fine print. It was a nice path…but straight uphill, long
switchbacks, one mile one way. That little
scooter had some issues since it was maxed out.
But, with Jerry and Darren taking turns doing a light push, it made it
up. The views were fantastic: Turquoise water, Whales, and Cliffs. Darren took a couple of really neat pics of
us, and that’s always fun to have someone take the time to do that!
Got back to the hotel about 5:30… course we seem to pick rush
hour to do our traveling… never relaxing for sure. Got back and the windows framed a gorgeous view. Jerry took a snooze rather quickly while laying on the deck lounge. Evening plans were for pizza in our suite and 7ish,
with fireworks outside starting at 7:45.
They were fun… and loud… and pretty!
Hilton puts on a nice show! As for the Pizza, very, very mediocre, BUT, our fireworks view made it a little better!
What a gorgeous day before the winds....Wonderful photos! ENJOY!!
