Woke up and enjoyed a leisurely morning since we gained an extra hour due to Daylight Saving Time going away. Was quite nice. Jerry found a church in the area, in the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School, located right there in the Times Square area. The parishioners were very friendly and we had an awesome message. So glad we made the time to do this.
Left church with plans to walk the Times Square craziness. It was overcast, with a chance of drizzle later in the day yet, all the lights didn't care and the area was electric (oh, gosh, I'm so clever!).
As we were enjoying the area, we came to the Red Tickets Booth. Here you can get discounted tickets for same day performances. We saw seats were available for "Beautiful" and we tickled! 2:00 Matinee, Orchestra, about 10 rows up. They were awesome seats.
After the phenom show, we went to Carmines for dinner. I remember Regis Philbin talking about that place all the time. We got in pretty quick and they found a nice seat in a corner closer to the rear of the place... so, so, so much quieter and nice. Meals are served family style... serve 3-4... egads... we would never eat that much. Talking with our waiter, came up with the perfect game plan. A side of Meatballs and a Caesar Salad. The Salad was humongous, the meatballs were spectacular and then, we had a basket of fresh bread. Ordered some delightful Chianti and we were set! What a great way to top the day off!
Walked a bit more and finally meandered to our place and stayed in for the evening.
