Paris... C'est si bon!

About the first picture.... That was our one window in our room... Jerry figured out how to release it from its safety latch which only allowed it to open about 4 inches on the bottom.  So... yippee window open, but we were on the second floor and that brick wall you see was the top of the lobby entrance... One last night of the revelers in Bergen, and by 8 AM, after a sleepless and warm and noisy night, we were off for the next part of our adventure... a cruise on the River Seine beginning with some time in Paris.  Nice temps here and better yet, we have an air-conditioned room... YEAH!
Due to a flight delay in Amsterdam, we got here a bit late... but in time to visit and share a meal with Nancy H, a friend from Jerry's youth... They watched the Beatles premiere on the Ed Sullivan show together...way back when, in the dark ages!!!!
Anyway, we met for dinner at 7:30 and just got home (11:15)... funny, how those long meals when you are busy 'catching up' don't seem to bother you.  Food was delish!!!!
Used an "Uber" taxi to get home.... Pretty cool the way they work and Nancy has an account with them...so it worked great... until Jerry and I realized the dude didn't speak ANY English... Nancy could see something was not going right, so she came back and helped out... and, bam, we are now home.
Tomorrow we will see the city for a short tour by bus then head out walking!!!!!!!!

Our window in Bergen... right outside of it many folks would congregate for smoking their Cigarettes... Add that to being in the corner... air was not coming in ...
First view as of the city itself hustle and bustle

So, the Danish had their bicyclist... here it is scooters/motorcycles everywhere... zip in, zip out... and lots of them were the kind with two small front wheels and the larger back wheel.... all over... and, beware, they do zip... reminded me of Italy!
Nancy and Jerry... She is such a beautiful person, inside and out!
Taxi Drive home....
