Exploring Paris when you don't have a whole lot of time! Sad Face!

Paris... what a beautiful city... so full of gorgeous history, pretty parks, the River Seine running through it... We saw quite a bit before we head out on our Riverboat Tour tomorrow.
Again, our geocaching adventures had us exploring some little known areas.  The weather was very comfortable and puffy clouds just floated by giving us some shade now and then.
The only complaint... We feel like we have breathed in more second hand smoke today than we have over the last few years...  They are like chimneys!  As they walk down the street, they puff away.... We finally figured out, taking the path less traveled mean less smoke.

Of course... the Eifel Tower!  We both said we just couldn't believe we were in Paris when we saw it.  The locks on the bridge (which is causing problems and has actually collapsed a portion, been repaired, but it is a danger to the boats going underneath) made the bridge look gold!  All the famous spots... Good thing we saw the Champs Elysees today.... tomorrow the 2014 Tour de France arrives and bikes travel through it on their way to victory.

Well, hope you like the pics...From Notre Dame to the Louvre to Napoleon's Tomb to well, to all the great sights...Paris needs way more time that we have since we leave for the River Cruise on the Seine and head up towards Normandy Beach.

 Napoleon's hangout now....

I recognize that guy walking!  The airport we arrived in is named after him... now you guess!

The Famous Bridge with the Lover's Locks!  Didn't feel right adding anything since it is causing a problem with the weight...
Someone is enjoying a river cruise....within the city
Notre Dame and a beautiful wire that I didn't know was in the picture... poohy!
Yup, remember the statue in our harbor came from France... and it's name was Liberty... They have the original here... and next to it, they have planted an Oak Tree in memory of September 11th...
Modeled after the Medici Castle in Florence, cuz the Queen at that time was a Medici...Gorgeous Parks and now the House of the Senate... with living quarter for the members during session.

Loved the little sail boats on this huge pond/fountain

So, these boots were just laying there... Jerry and I were making jokes to each other about walking out of your shoes, etc, etc... Went on our way.... later in the evening, in another area of the street, about 6 blocks away, another pair of shoes, just sitting next to a lamp post... thinking it must be some kind of exhibit...
Out geocaching found this little park... interestingly, most of the fountains in the area had no water flowing...weird...

Cafes everywhere!!!!
This fire protection system... in our hotel... weird... not sure what you use the bucket for...
