Once you leave Hwy 30, you travel on a single lane road, hugging the sides of the hill/cliffs. Not to bad, ‘cept when a car comes. One of the two of you have to back up and find a little hideehole to wedge into so the other can pass.
We made our way to Julia’s Banana Bread Stand… had the best Taro Chips! Then started the trek back and visited the Olivine Pools (which we could not enter, the ocean around them had pretty big swells and waves). Had to laugh, as ‘the book’ describes all these places as ‘little known areas’…. HAHA… that was before they produced the book. Ran into lots of folks who read ‘the book.’

These are the 'Pools'... as you can see, when the surf comes up over them, they are not a safe place to be... so we just took pics and left it at that!
Awesome indeed! Always try to take the road less traveled---esp before it becomes THE road :D
