Okay… too, too many pics to post here… but wait till you see my scrapbook! His wife was so sweet, she talked about her grandfather (in-law) and the history behind his life and how he became famous for all his shoes… especially after he came to the U S to work in Santa Barbara at the movies… yup…not Hollywood back in the early 30’s…
Then, as that part ended, we met her husband, Salvatore Jr… He is a winemaker and we sampled his wine :IL BORRO…. It does not stand for bull, but is the name of the village on the hill that he now owns…. Plus, he was dang handsome too!Interesting story about all the heirs… as families grow, there are about 41 of them. If you want to work for the Ferragamo company, you must attend college, get a masters and THEN work for three years at another company before you can work for the family business. Seemed like a great idea to me to prevent the ‘entitlement’ feeling!
