So nice to wake up at 7:30 and not be in a rush to do anything… other than to shower and eat brekky. We did that quite successfully and were ready to hit the pavement for a walk and some geocaching too. We were successful on all accounts, plus we saw so many beautiful buildings and one really unique are exhibit… called “Never Ending”… a basket ball hoop on top of a five story building. We might have missed it if it weren’t for some folks staring up to the sky and taking pics! Found three geocaches which brought us to places beyond the tourist areas. We always find that fun! Made our way back toward the hotel and stopped at the Marienplaz. It is true Munich and pictures do not do this building and square justice. There are so many exquisite details all over the whole area. Oh my gosh! The building there was beautiful, huge and striking! Next to the square is Church of St Peter with it's 299 Ft tower—know as “Old Pete”—it is the oldest recorded parish church in Munich and presumably the originating point for the whole city. Europe and it’s history… our United States just can’t compare!
