So nice to wake up at 7:30 and not be in a rush to do anything… other than to shower and eat brekky. We did that quite successfully and were ready to hit the pavement for a walk and some geocaching too. We were successful on all accounts, plus we saw so many beautiful buildings and one really unique are exhibit… called “Never Ending”… a basket ball hoop on top of a five story building. We might have missed it if it weren’t for some folks staring up to the sky and taking pics! Found three geocaches which brought us to places beyond the tourist areas. We always find that fun! Made our way back toward the hotel and stopped at the Marienplaz. It is true Munich and pictures do not do this building and square justice. There are so many exquisite details all over the whole area. Oh my gosh! The building there was beautiful, huge and striking! Next to the square is Church of St Peter with it's 299 Ft tower—know as “Old Pete”—it is the oldest recorded parish church in Munich and presumably the originating point for the whole city. Europe and it’s history… our United States just can’t compare!
You all know our journeys (and sometimes our 'events' just around here)... Now come along and join us...IGNORE MY SPELLING... I'm typing in a hurry... Drop a comment or two.... I like to know someone is reading this!!!

And We Are Off On Another Adventure
A bit of long day, short night and another day! Traveling west to east that happens. Fortunately the 24hour strike Lufthansa was over while we were in the air so the airports were just their normal busy. Got to our final destination, Munich, and upon getting our room, slept for about 3 hours. Slept some on the plane, but never really restful! Woke up and decided to go for a walk around our hotel. We are in the midst of all those pricey stores: Gucci, Versace, you get the drift. As we walked, we found side streets that provided more interesting views. Lots of folks out, after all, this was a Saturday night. Jer and I know no German, so that always adds a fun dimension
