30 km Achieved This 5th Day of June...

Under 300 km left today!

Mostly blue ... some clouds, beautiful day, probably 45°. Was 42 when I started. I have both gloves on for the first time. I am on a long, busy road. I got started about 730 and found breakfast about 830. Cafe con leche, a banana, and a chocolate roll.

I did hide another candy bar for Hanna and Company. I took pictures and I need to send those to her on WhatsApp the end of the day today at least if not before. It’s in the guardrail!
Love you Lord.

As I’m walking today, I see many more indications of the snow like cottonwood seeds or whatever kind of seeds they are, but I have already sent you enough pictures so I won’t bother with anymore.

I just stopped in a small village and tried to have a beer and a sandwich. They have no bread yet so I couldn’t have a sandwich. Didn’t stop me from having a beer with lemonade and I had some peanuts and candy bar for myself from my own stores. Then the bread man arrived... too late, I’m not hungry anymore!
I’m about 18 km into a 30 km day so I’m doing well, and I look forward to being done in a couple hours.  Definitely a constant breeze today of about 8 to 10 kn... sometimes on the nose sometimes on the right side. Keeps it chilly... still have both gloves on. the sun is shining and it’s about 80% clear with clouds around the edges. beautiful day in Spain on the Camino.... later.
Two new thoughts... I saw my first Tesla today... a model ‘S’. It was here then it was gone... good to see. This road just seems to keep going on and on... some pix may reflect that but cannot portray it properly.  I have waved at some trucks and they honked. Good to share your joy with others. God has once again blessed this day and this time on the Camino.
I took a couple pictures, first is of a boneyard for the irrigation systems... looks like concrete junk, but if you look at it you notice different sizes and lengths of concrete sluiceways.
The second picture is the mountains in front of me at the end of the road. Just thinking likely will I will walk over those in a couple three days or a week. kind of strange to think about it that way. That is the Camino... it goes where it goes.
I just took a picture of what I’m guessing is a water tower but I’m not sure... brick and mortar and probably some stucco right next to a big haystack. I’m coming into a new town. I think this means that I’m about 25 km for the day, so I think I’ve got about five or six more to go.
The name of this town is Hospital de Orbigo. Looks to be a very cool town.

So I went through Hospital de Orbigo; the first bar restaurant I saw I didn’t stop at.  Walking through town,  I didn’t find any others. So, I walked onto the next town. More cottonwood trees growing, then farmland up on the hill in front of me, not a mountain but a hill. Pretty sure will climb it tomorrow!
I checked in to the Albergue here at Santibanez de Valdeiglesia and settled down and rested a bit. I had a great dinner with others... Sitting next to a couple folks... Roisin from Ireland and Aaron from Germany. She was born in 1991 and has been off work a while... India, Australia... now the Camino and a nutritionist who has a job lined up for when she is home. He is finishing up some time in the military, very enjoyable evening. Bed now...Hope the church bells next to my room don’t keep me up.  They have been ringing every 30 minutes!
Good night from the Camino in Spain.
