An Easy Ride Up, a Longer Warmer Walk Down from Sabino Canyon

We meant to be up at the canyon entrance by 9, but, as seems to happens lately, we didn't get there till 10.  Decided to ride the tram to the where the road ends (up the canyon a little less than 4 miles) and then walk a little way further and then all the way back down to the entrance... just about 4 miles.  Didn't think about the fact most of that walk would be in the heat... Did a couple geocaches off the trails too... fun!

Before we did leave home, we had a Javelina in the yard... They can be dangerous and are not really welcomed in neighborhoods (what else is new in the burbs where we have moved in on their territory)... But we think they are so cool... Julie and Jens have Javelina families that visit their back yard and that's where we first learned of them.  So sad they are so protective and nasty and stinky... I know, weird that we like them!

Anyway... off we went... and I begin to realize, I have sooooo many desert pictures...  Oh well, here's a couple more...

His momma taught him how to sneeze and cover his mouth!
I think a critter left her glasses at this little respite

 Yup... geocaching...
