Eating Asheville - A great food tour!!!!

So, a couple years ago, Julie Andersen introduced me to Food Tours... And now, I'm hooked!  When we go to a new city, I always look for a Food Tour and sign Jerry and I up.  This one here in Asheville was no exception to the fun we have had in other tours!  We meet new people, tied out 7 different restaurants and got to walk around the city.  Our tour guide was Zoe and what a wealth of knowledge about this area, This particular tour we were treated to alcoholic beverages at 4 of the restaurants from champagne, to wine, to a lavender-lemonade vodka, and then some beer.  Our oversize bites were scrumptious...
Before we started, we explored a new area... the first pic is in the Flat Iron District.... get it???.... they had the traditional Flat Iron Building like they do in NYC.

What an awesome book store: Battery Park Book Exchange and Champagne Bar... Book and Wine and Champagne... plus they had an albino stuffed moose on the wall... Can we say eclectic?
We met Amanda and Dave
I was in disguise so they would let me in... didn't want my reputation to prohibit me from enjoying this great tour...

Stada... a great Italian Place... Large Ravioli which was grilled after it was cooked... nummy

The Gourmet Chip Company.... great Pannini's but fabulous homemade potato chip-these were called "the Italiano."

Next visit at "The Social"  Had some deluxe popcorn with green onions and rosemary/pepper nuts (oh and the Lemonade/Lavender Vodka....

Bomba for a corn tortilla filled with lots of hot spicy slaw... nummy... topped off with some beer.

This building is suppose to look like a ship.... okay... I guess I see it.... a container ship!
Forgot to take picture of our next place...White Duck Taco.... which was really really good... Isn't duck at all, but that was the slang for the original lady who use to work there..... she talked, and talked, and talked like a duck and was white... hence, The White Duck Taco... really, that's the story!  The taco had shrimp, ginger, pickled cucumbers... kinda a Thai influence!
Last stop was a Chocolate Lounge.... Folks were lined out the door, but our group got right in... and it was rich and chocolaty....  need I say more????
