On our way, we dropped by Julie and Jen's for some time together AND a fabulous meal Julie prepared for lunch. Grilled pizza... Oh my gosh.... so dang yummy.... The Romesco Sauce on the steak/salad pizza... to die for... and the Chicken/artichoke/etc, etc pizza, just as good. She also had a Peach Cake that was light and tasty... perfect ending...
This is the first time I've been to this part of Oregon. After leaving Julie's, we took off via hwy 26, by Mt Hood... The weather was overcast, so we saw not much... Then, we sorta turn southish... and wow... look how the topography changes. Beautiful country!
So, about an hour and 1/2 from our destination, a little light comes on on the dashboard: a tire light with an exclamation point in it! Stopped.. and thought, well, maybe it's this tire... lets check again. Sure enough, still not alot of change yet a bit more; the whole event made me nervous. By the time we got to Sunriver, Yup, it's starting to lose air faster, a whole lot faster. Got checked in (which took a while) and questioned where a tire place was. Jerry felt that it would be flat by the morning, and well, prolly a really huge hassle to change and repair! As soon as we got our things in our room, Jerry took the van to the shop and the Resort Shuttle picked him up and brought him back here back to our room. It's about 7:45pm now, and the folks that are here already, held off on dinner till we could get there... And, it was worth the wait, Yummy, Yummy, Yummy...
Miss Jean, You should be a food photographer for a magazine or the newspaper. The pics of Julie's luncheon are fantastic. I can taste that pizza!! Christy
